SUE Solutions successfully completed the utility investigations for this UDOT Region One project located in West Haven, Utah. SUE Solutions provided subsurface utility engineering in the form of SUE Quality Level B designating (horizontal locating), and Quality Level A (test holes), as well as the survey and CAD responsibilities pertaining to the utility designating and test hole activities. SUE Solutions, through the use of its On-Call Contract with UDOT, was able to respond to the SUE Quality Level B and A request, and begin the requested activities, within one week’s time. The project consists of the design and installation of a new traffic signal, and the reconditioning of the existing roadway. SUE Solutions worked closely with the project’s design consultant and the existing utility owners ensure the accuracy of the SUE data collected. Upon completion of the SUE activities, SUE Solutions designated approximately 4,315 lineal feet of underground utilities (Quality Level B), and completed ten (10) test holes at critical locations within the project gathering crucial utility information, vital to the project’s design. Utilities located (test holes) included culinary water, secondary water, natural gas, electrical, phone, fiber optics, and CATV. SUE Solutions was able to complete the SUE investigations ahead of schedule and under budget.
