SR-132, GUARDRAIL AND SHOULDER IMPROVEMENTS, NEPHI

SUE Solutions successfully completed the Quality Level B (utility designating) and Quality Level A (test holes) services for the SR-132, Guardrail and Shoulder Improvements project located in Juab County, for UDOT Region Three. The project consists of roadway widening and shoulder improvements. As part of the SUE Quality Level B activities, SUE Solutions also provided the survey tasks and CAD (mapping) tasks associated to the designated utility field markings. SUE Solutions completed the SUE efforts in March of 2014, and was able to designate these utilities ahead of schedule and under budget. Approximately 23,700 feet of existing underground utilities were designated as part of the utility investigations, as well as the successful completion of nine (9) test holes gathering critical utility information central to the project’s design. Utility coordination efforts with existing utility owners, and local utility locating contractors also took place to account for those utilities that were not locatable by conventional means. SUE Solutions located utilities which included culinary water, phone, and fiber optics.   The final deliverable to the design consultant consisted of a comprehensive final SUE report which contained existing utility conditions and their limitations, photographs of designated utilities, survey data, digital project files (CAD), existing utility owner mapping, and Test Hole Data Sheets.
