SUE Solutions successfully completed the utility investigations for this UDOT Region Four project located in La Verkin, Utah. SUE Solutions contracted with the project’s design consultant to provide subsurface utility engineering in the form of Quality Level B horizontal designating), Quality Level C (storm drain survey and data gathering), and Quality Level A (test holes). The project consists of roadway reconstruction, new storm drain system, and the updating of existing traffic signal facilities. SUE Solutions researched the existing utility owners within the project area and used their existing mapping to designate the underground utilities within the most critical areas of the project. Extensive utility coordination with utility owners also took place. Upon completion of the Quality Level B and Quality Level C investigations, SUE Solutions designated approximately 10,645 feet of existing utilities to Quality level B specifications, and surveyed and gathered information for approximately 3,175 feet of storm drain facilities (Quality Level C). In addition, SUE Solutions also completed ten (10) test holes at critical locations within the project gathering crucial utility information, vital to the project’s design. Utilities designated and accounted for included culinary water, secondary water, natural gas, electrical, phone, fiber optics, and CATV. SUE Solutions was able to complete the SUE investigations ahead of schedule and under budget.
